Description: An exquisite Regency specimen marble and carved giltwood centre table. The circular top created in radiating segmented form of a multitude of specimen marbles gathered together from around the world and form together to form this highly important, fabulously looking top. The marble top sits on a structural wooden top which in turn is supported by a tapering, slightly concave, tapering triangular column, with applied carved giltwood discs to the edges of the column and a central anthemion motif to the ebonised background. The column sits on a tripartite ebonised base standing on carved giltwood hair paw feet.

Superb quality throughout and would make a bold but elegant statement as a centre piece in a hall or drawing room.

Condition: Excellent. Minor old restorations, gilding partially refreshed.
