Description: A rare and delightful diminutive pair of George III carved giltwood girandoles. The overall shape forming a mirror pair of C-scrolls, with intricate detailing of further C-scrolls and trailing vine leaves integral to the design. The top surmounted by flowing carved, with scrolls enclosing a central mirror plate behind further exquisite carved floral detailing. A carved gilded candle arm in the form of a vine holds a pierced gilt brass candle holder. Further carved leaves to the bottom. These very unusual girandoles are of fabulous shape and excellent proportions.

Condition: Excellent. The gilding refreshed in places, mirror plates apparently original, the back boards replaced.
