Description: A superb, rare Queen Anne burr walnut & feather banded kneehole desk with secretaire top drawer, retaining excellent original colour & patina. The rectangular top, quarter veneered, feather banded with a moulded edge and front re-entrant corners. The top drawer opening to form a writing surface with an internal arrangement of drawers and pigeon holes Below two vertical pairs of three short feather banded and oak lined drawers, fitted with original brassware and locks. The central recess with a drawer to the top and a central kneehole cupboard compartment with shelf. The kneehole is supported to the front by a two pairs of bracket feet, with a single bracket foot to each side at the rear.

A superb piece of walnut, with fabulous colour, surface and patina. The compact size and excellent proportions add to the appeal of this wonderful piece of furniture.

Condition: Possible minor old restorations, brassware and feet apparently original.
