Description: A superb English Queen Anne burr walnut & feather banded compact bureau cabinet retaining excellent original colour and patina. The convex cornice, with upper and lower moulded edges, over a burr walnut and feather banded door, with an inset bevelled mirror plate re-entrant top corners, which opens to reveal a walnut interior and an arrangement of retractable shelves.

The fall cross and feather banded with bookrest, opens to reveal an arrangement of drawers and pigeon holes. Below two short, seperated by a waist moulding, over three long graduated, feather banded, burr walnut veneered, oak lined drawers fitted with original ring handles and plate escutcheons. The sides of book matched figured walnut and the piece is supported by it's original bracket feet.

Constructed using the finest materials throughout, with a cabinet width of only 24", this truly is a fabulous piece of furniture.

Condition: Excellent. Minor old restorations, waxing. Brassware apparently original, mirror plate replaced.
