Description: A fine and rare flame mahogany standing corner cupboard. The cavetto moulded swan neck pediment with proportional dentils and carved floral centre piece over a further moulding with below a pair of panelled flame mahogany doors bordered by a three quarter stop fluted pilasters, opening to reveal a fabulous dome top interior with painted decoration and arrangement of scalloped shelves. The base with waffle fluted sides with bordering a pair of panelled doors. The cupboard is supported on ogee bracket feet. A fabulous and unusual piece with excellent provenance.
Condition: Excellent. Minor restorations, cleaning & waxing.

Provenance: Geraint Jones, Little Missenden House, Buckinghamshire. Geraint Jones was a distinguished organist, harpsichordist and conductor, recording for the BBC and various record companies from the 1950's through to the 70's. He was a enthusiastic and knowledgeable collector of Georgian furniture.
