George I walnut and feather banded lowboy

Description: A fine George I walnut and feather banded lowboy retaining excellent colour and patina. The rectangular quarter veneered top with feather and cross banded, with front re-entrant corners. Below two short over one long, oak lined feather banded frieze darwers fitted with believed to be original engraved brass plate handles. The frieze apron with scalloped lower edge to front and sides. The lowboy is supported by cabriole legs, the fronts with acanthus leaf carved knees and all four terminating in pad feet. A lowboy of neat, compact proportions with excellent colour.

Condition: Excellent. Minor old restorations, support blocks to one front leg replaced, waxing.
