George II walnut kneehole desk

Description: A fine George II walnut kneehole desk, retaining excellent original colour and patina. The rectangular top with re-entrant corners, quarter veneered and strung with ebony and box. The long top drawer with apparently original brassware over a vertical pairs of three short ebony and box strung and oak lined drawers. The central recess with a drawer to the top and a central kneehole cupboard compartment with shelf. The kneehole is supported to the front by a two pairs of bracket feet, with a single bracket foot to each side at the rear.

Further Information: The compact size and excellent proportions add to the appeal of this lovely piece of furniture.

Condition: Excellent. Minor old restorations, waxing.
