Description: A fine George II burr walnut & feather banded caddy top kneehole desk, of excellent original colour & patina. The rectangular top, quarter veneered, feather and cross banded with a scribed caddy top edge. Below an arrangement of one long over two pairs of three short feather banded, quadrant beaded and oak lined drawers, fitted with original brassware and locks. The central recess with a drawer to the top and a central kneehole cupboard compartment with shelf. The kneehole is supported to the front by a pair of bracket feet, with a single bracket foot to each side at the rear.

A superb piece of walnut, with fabulous colour, surface and patina. The compact size and excellent proportions add to the appeal of this wonderful piece of furniture.

Condition: Excellent. Possible minor old restorations, brass-ware and feet apparently original.
