Further Information: Small walnut chests such as this, are highly sought after. This chest has a particularly good patina and 'skin' which is commensurate with a well used yet cared for life. The piece has possibly been in an atmosphere with a lot of smoke from an open fire thus its darker colour and overall excellent patina.
