Description: A fine early George III plum pudding Cuban mahogany compact serpentine commode of with excellent dark original colour and patina. The well figured top with deep serpentine profile and with applied moulded edge. Below an arrangement of four plum pudding mahogany, long, graduated, cock-beaded, oak lined drawers fitted with brass rococo swan neck gilt brass handles and keyhole lock escutcheons. The commode stands on shaped and curved bracket feet.

A superb early piece of excellent original colour & patina and of particularly convenient size.

Condition: Excellent. Minor restorations, cleaning & waxing. The feet and brassware apparently original.
