Description: A good English George III mahogany compact chest with brushing slide, of good colour & patina. The rectangular over-sailing top with applied moulded edge. Below a brushing slide with brass axe head pull handles over an arrangement of four long graduated cock-beaded, oak lined drawers with gilt brass swan neck handles with circular back plates and keyhole escutcheons. There is a further moulding to the base with scroll shaped bracket feet. A super little chest of excellent compact size being only 31" wide.
Condition: Excellent. Minor restorations, waxing. Brassware apparently original.
