Description: A fine English George I walnut and feather banded chest on chest retaining excellent colour and patina. The top with cavetto moulded cornice with canted corners, over three short & three long figured walnut and feather banded, oak lined drawers, fitted with the original plate handles. A central end grain moulding separates the bottom chest with a further two short drawers over two long drawers. The sides with book matched veneers and cross-banded edges, the front corner verticals canted, reeded and stop fluted to top and bottom half. The chest on chest stands on shaped bracket feet. A fine piece of period walnut of good colour in superb country house condition.

Condition: Excellent. Minor repairs to loose veneers, waxing. The brassware, locks and feet believed to be original.
