Description: A fine English William & Mary burr & figured walnut cabinet on chest of fine original colour and patina. The segmented moulded cornice, over a cushion moulded chart drawer. Below a pair of burr quarter veneered doors, with feather banding to the edge and original brass lock escutcheons, opening to reveal an extensive arrangement of burr veneered and feather banded drawers. A prominent waist moulding separates the two parts of the piece with an arrangement of two short over two long highly figured feather banded, oak lined drawers, with drop handles and original engraved lock escutcheons, supported by turned bun feet. The piece retains its original pierce work key and represents a unique opportunity to acquire a piece of extremely fine colour and patina.
Condition: Excellent. Minor repairs to lose veneers and mouldings, cleaning and waxing. The bun feet are replacements. Most brassware original, original pierce work key.
