Description: A superb Queen Anne burr walnut & feather banded kneehole desk, of fine original colour & patina. The rectangular top quarter veneered and feather banded, with re-entrant corners and a moulded edge.
An arrangement of one long over two pairs of three short feather banded, quadrant beaded and oak lined drawers, fitted with original brassware and locks. The central recess with a feather banded drawer to the top and a central kneehole cupboard compartment with shelf. The kneehole is supported to the front by two pairs of bracket feet, with a single bracket foot to each side at the rear.
Further Information: This is probably one of the best pieces of walnut we have seen. with a fabulous colour, surface and patina. The diminutive size and excellent proportions add to the appeal.
Condition: Excellent. Minor old restorations, waxing. Brassware believed to be original, feet largely original with minor restorations.
