Description: An extremely rare English Regency quartetto nest of yew wood and burr yew tables. The tops in burr yew with inset yew stringing, bordered by a raised rectangular cock-beaded perimeter.
Each table is supported by four turned, tapered, ebony bamboo collared, solid yew wood legs inserted top and bottom into square section part columns. Each side is united by a curved stretcher and supported by an arched tapering foot inlaid with ebony.
The tables are in superb original condition, thus having an excellent colour, patina with an oil and wax traditional finish.
Further Information: John Parry is a passionate collector of fine English furniture, particularly English period walnut, yew and elm. Parts of his extensive collection were auctioned at Christies in a one owner sale both in 1997 and 2010.
Condition: Excellent. Possible old minor restorations, waxing.
