Description: A fine matched pair of George II period mahogany side chairs in the manner of Thomas Chippendale. The backs with shaped and crisply carved top rail with central leaf scroll and emanating flowers. The central vertical splat with a leaf garland, central knot twist and lower carved scroll supports, the side rails shaped and reeded throughout. The seat section has a drop in seat covered in a neutral cream coloured floral fabric, with a front rail of serpentine shape and lower carved beading. The front legs of cabriole form with fluted carved knees terminating in a ball and claw foot, the back legs of a gentle curved form with a shaped pad foot. Fabulous chairs, great colour. The price below includes re-covering in a customer supplied fabric.

Condition: Excellent. Minor old restorations, waxing. The drop in seats have been re-covered within the last 20 years. Price includes re-covering in customer supplied fabric.
