Description: A superb English George II carved walnut & needlework covered foot stool . The rectangular seat covered in an associated English early 18th century needlework with complimenting velvet border, close nailed around the lower frame. The stool is supported by four cabriole legs, with acanthus carved knees, bordered by carved scrolled ears. The legs gently taper down to pad foot. An elegant, well proportioned stool, apparently in fine original condition.
Condition: Excellent. Possible minor old restorations, waxing. The stool re-upholstered retaining much of the original materials. The needlework English circa 1730-1740.
