Description: A fine well figured George III Chippendale period carved mahogany serpentine concertina action card table of choice mahogany veneers, retaining its wonderful original patina and colour. The rear portion of the table pulls out, the sides follow in a concertina action and a locking slide is pulled into place to form a rectangular rigid base. The serpentine fronted and sided figured mahogany top has a deep scrolling leaf moulding and opens to reveal a baize lined interior. The frieze has a barley twist moulding to the bottom and the whole is supported by fluted, moulded and chamfered legs with craved fretwork ears to the hip and standing on a pad foot base.

Condition: Excellent. Possible minor old restorations, waxing. Baize playing surface an old replacement.
