Description: A fine George III Chippendale period carved oval mirror. The mirror plate probably original, bordered by a convex framing bead with emanating acanthus leaves, combined into scrolling, highly detailed, leaf covered branches which join together to form an intricate pierced frame.
The mirror is surmounted by a carved leaf mounted crown which is supported by delightful undulating C-scrolls. To the bottom the mirror is further embellished by a smaller leaf carved centre piece.
Excellent detailing throughout and of good compact dimensions.
Condition: Excellent. The mirror plate apparently original, the gilding partially re-freshed.
