Description: A fine pair of Regency mahogany hall chairs attributed to Gillows of Lancaster. The rectangular shaped backs. with flat central and scalloped shaped sides to the moulded top. The backs flanked by a pair of fluted, tapering turned side rails, with a turned finial atop each side, centred by polychromed heraldic crests, of a sheep surmounted by a wolf under a cross, on a pale blue background. The seat section of tapering rectangular form with a moulded edge. The chair is supported by turned, tapering spindle legs to the front and tapering square section, sabre style legs to the rear. The chairs of fabulous quality throughout.
