Description: A fine late George III brass inlaid rosewood, satinwood, amaranth and giltwood side cabinet. The top of rectangular form with heavily scolloped front corners, cross banded with satinwood which in turn is lined banded with tulipwood and strung with ebony and box. The frieze following the shape of the top with brass inlay and a frieze drawer fitted with brass knob handles. The central cupboard section with a pair of silk lined doors with lattice work brass grills, flanked with mirror back spiral twist columns, large brass inlaid concave sections and further mirror backed spiral columns. The cabinet is supported on turned bulbous rosewood and giltwood feet. A handsome piece which will look fabulous in any hallway or formal room setting.
Condition: Excellent. Minor restorations, waxing. Silk door linings replaced. Feet are old replacements.
