Description: An important, excellently proportioned George II carved mahogany side table, in the manner of Thomas Chippendale, retaining excellent original colour and patina. The top constructed of well chosen figured veneers, on a solid mahogany base with banded figured mahogany edge. Below the frieze with a crisply carved c-scroll leaf central crest, with intricate floral and c-scroll applied carvings emanating from the centre to all visible sides of the frieze. The legs of square chamfered section fluted and beaded to the front with intricately carved leaf c-scroll ears to the top, a beaded ankle and pad foot to the bottom.

Condition: Excellent.Possible minor old restorations, waxing.
