Description: A superb George II carved mahogany tripod table retaining excellent original colour and patina. Thee extremely well figured top with a dished edge, supported by a revolving birdcage action. The column of tapering form, stop fluted to the top, with the lower section of vase form, profusely carved with scrolling acanthus leaves, with a turned concave ring and and egg and dart detailing below. The table is supported on a tripod base, each leg profusely carved with acanthus leaves from the hip to the knee and terminating in a carved ball and claw foot.
A fabulous table, of compact proportions and in fine original condition throughout.
Condition: Excellent. Possible minor old restorations, waxing.
