Description: A fine pair of George III carved giltwood girandoles, with apparently original oval segmented plates. The central acanthus motif over an oval flower medallion with tied bow beneath. Issuing from the central motif, trailing carved giltwood and carton pierre vine leaves with scroll shaped bound candle arms. The oval mirror plate with a husk and foliate border, surmounted by a large urn. This pair of finely worked girandoles, are of wonderful delicate quality throughout.
Condition: Excellent. Minor repairs and restorations, the gilding partially refreshed. Mirror plates apparently original.
