A pair of Hepplewhite period giltwood girandoles

Description: A superb pair of George III Hepplewhite period, carved giltwood girandoles. The central oval original mercury silvered mirror plates, with a beaded and gadrooned border, flanked by trailing swags of flowers conjoining the top and bottom of the mirror. The surmounting carved urn finial with emanating bell flowers, to the lower delicate and intricately carved, scroll and leaf base. Each girandole with a pair of twisted, carved leaf mounted candle arms, with apparently the original drips and candle holders.

The mirrors appear to retain their original water gilded finish and are in superb condition throughout.

Condition: Excellent. Possible minor old restorations, although the girandoles appear to be in fine original condition throughout.
