Description: A fine George II Irish mahogany card table of excellent colour, patina and compact dimensions. The rectangular top with out-stepped front corners and a rounded edge, opening to reveal a baize lined playing surface with four candle pads and four inset counter wells. The well figured frieze the gadrooned bottom edge. One rear leg swings out to support the top when open. All legs of cabriole form with ball and claw feet, and crisp acanthus leaf carving to the front leg knees. A fine quality and practical piece of furniture in excellent condition.
Condition: Excellent. Possible minor old restorations, waxing. The baize lining is approximately 40 years old.
