Description: A fine English George III, Hepplewhite period, Cuban mahogany, serpentine concertina action card table of choice early veneers, retaining fine patina and colour. The serpentine fronted and sided flame mahogany top has a crisp flower & ribbon edge carving and opens to reveal a dark green, tooled baize lined and leather edged interior. The rear portion of the table pulls out, the sides follow in a concertina action and a locking slide with storage compartment is pulled into place to form a rectangular rigid base.

The frieze of scalloped serpentine shape, of flame mahogany and with a beaded lower moulding, which curves gently and coherently into four elegant, finely detailed cabriole legs with carved scrolling vines to the knees and terminating in neat pointed toe feet. A piece of excellent proportions, standing particularly well, whether open or closed. Both front and rear legs are fully carved and detailed.

Condition: Excellent. Minor old restorations, waxing.
