Description: A fine English George I carved giltwood pier mirror of excellent tall proportions. The crest with an ornate out scrolling arrangement of leaves and flowers over a shaped border top section, with vine carved scrolls with a smaller mirror plate over a larger rectangular plate with a demi-lune shaped moulding around the circumference, interspersed with further vine carving and the bottom corners formed into an enclosing bracket of floral carving.
Further Information: The gilding is delightfully aged with wear showing through in places giving this pier mirror an important presence in a hall, library or living room.
Condition: Excellent. Partial refresh to gilding, the smaller mirror plate possibly later.
