Description: A fine English Regency rosewood and brass inlaid library table, of excellent colour and patina. The rounded rectangular top inlaid with strung with brass with trident shaped inlaid decoration to each corner. Below the long side of the frieze with two drawers and opposing dummy drawers, cock-beaded and strung with brass, with brass ring pull handles. The short side of the frieze with a single, similar dummy drawer to each end. The frieze with rounded brass mounted corners. The table is supported by twin J-shaped rosewood legs, joined by a short brass mounted stretcher with turned vertical spindle in fills, and united with a low brass inlaid scrolling stretcher. A fine quality table, undoubtedly made by an important maker.
Condition: Excellent. Cleaning waxing, minor restorations. The handles are replacements.
