Description: A very good George II carved mahogany foot stool, retaining good original colour and patina to the legs. The rectangular shaped seat now with an early 19th century needlework cover, rope piped with complimenting velvet border, close nailed around the lower frame. The stool is supported by four cabriole legs, with shell carved knees, trailing vines down the legs and with a leaf carved pad foot. An elegant, well proportioned stool.
Condition: Excellent. Waxing, the seat has been later covered in an early 19th century needlework.
