Description: A fine George III Sheraton period satinwood ladies chamber writing bureau with tambour top and excellent figuring and colour. The tambour top opening via two turned bone knobs to reveal an arrangement of four drawers and three pigeon holes with a leather writing surface. Below an ebony strung frieze slide opens to extend the writing surface with an inset ratcheted reading slope and two long drawers fitted with oval silvered brass handles. The bureau is supported on four square tapering, ebony strung legs terminating in brass cap castors. A lovely compact piece of excellent original colour, excellent suited to both contemporary and traditional decor schemes.

Condition: Excellent. The bureau has been gently cleaned and waxed, minor old restorations.
