Description: A fine, elegant, George III Sheraton period breakfront mahogany serving table, retaining fine colour and patina and of excellent proportions. The mahogany top with srounded corners flowing into the outset front section, with straight sides and back with a gently moulded edge to three sides.

The frieze of well figured flame mahogany with a semi-concealed central drawer, with rectangular cross-banded central tablet and cross-banded and box strung flanks opening to reveal a baize line interior fitted to retain cutlery. Each side of the central drawer a curved drawer, again cross-banded and strung with box, baize lined and with ivory escutcheon. Along the lower edge of the frieze a saw-tooth pattern chequer stringing. The table stands on square section, box strung tapering legs with spade feet.

An elegant table, constructed of fine quality timbers throughout, standing extremely well and exuding quality.

Condition: Excellent. Minor old restorations, waxing. the baize lining to the interior replaced within the last 20 years.
