A very good and unusual George III mahogany dressing mirror of good original colour and condition. The semi-circular base, with rear gallery consisting of a rail with an array of turned column supports. Below a central drawer chequer strung drawer with turned bone knob, flanked by 2 dummy drawer fronts, which slide to the side to reveal, hidden drawers behind. Two shaped supports hold the swivelling shield shaped mirror, with turned bone finial and further bone decoration to the supports. The mirror is supported to the front by elegant miniature ogee bracket feet. Lovely and unusual, a cut above other similar table mirrors.

Current Condition ► Excellent. The mirror has been cleaned & waxed, minor old restorations. The mirror plate is possibly original.
