A good English early George III Cuban mahogany card table of good figuring original colour and patina. The rectangular figured mahogany top with outset front corners rounded edge profile with carved ribbon decoration. The top opens to reveal a baize lined playing surface and is supported by a rear leg swung through 90 degrees. Below the top is a stepped frieze of well figured mahogany supported by elegant front cabriole legs with carvings to the knees and ball and claw feet. The rear legs again of an elegant cabriole shape however without carving and terminating in pad feet. When the rear leg is swung to support the open table, a hidden oak lined drawer can be accessed. A fine compact, elegant little card table.
