A fine George II mahogany card table of excellent colour, patina and compact dimensions. The rectangular top with out stepped front corners and a rounded edge, opening to reveal a baize lined playing surface with four candle pads and four inset counter wells. The fiddle back veneered frieze the gadrooned bottom front edge with carved leaves. One rear leg swings out to support the top when open. All legs of cabriole form with ball and claw feet, and crisp leaf carving to the front leg knees. A fine quality and practical piece of furniture in excellent condition
